Hello! I’m Izzy.
My story…
Did you ever have something that inspired you? That made you get giddy and excited and want to share with everyone you know? This is how I felt when I found out about birth-work.
I learned about natural birth and midwifery when I was in college, after high school. My friend’s mother was a midwife, and another friend’s sister and her friends were birth doulas. I knew then, 7 years before I met my husband, that I wanted to birth my future children naturally.
After using Hypnobabies® at the birth of my daugher, I started teaching the classes. 13 years later, I have used Hypnobabies® at the births of all four of my children (three at home, and one at The Farm in Tennessee, all midwife-attended), and I love helping others have calm, peaceful, natural births – whether at home or in the hospital, we’ll get you there. VBAC? No problem.

Do I have to birth at home?
Hypnobabies® works well in any birthing situation. There are benefits to choice and control when birthing at home, which Hypnobabies® works well to support. However, Hypnobabies® has been used successfully in many hospital births. I can assist to promote peace and calm and help give the birthing mom the best preparation to achieve an empowered hospital birth.

What if my birth partner is unable to attend class?
There are three options for a birthing mother whose birth partner is unable to physically attend class. There is a home-study option, which you can purchase directly from Hypnobabies®, a birthing mother may attend class by herself and can have her birth partner record their voice reading the weekly scripts to use for practice, or a birthing mother may bring a substitute to class, such as a friend or family member or birth doula.
